Super great service and super nice. Robert, the manager, let us order food even after the kitchen closed. We knew it was an exception and we were super grateful to him. They served it with a smile.

The only thing good about this place is the view. The food was horrible, drinks poorly made and everything was way over priced.

Their two chowders are amazing! Kinda went skimpy with steamed shrimp but a decent lunch.

A very disappointing birthday dinner, to say the least. The service was nice, but the price was ridiculous for being in the bottom of a hotel/condo and for the quality of the food. We had the Oscar grouper that was ok, not as great as we were expecting. The chicken that is stuffed (it was so memorable that I cannot remember the name lol) is definitely what you don't want to order, it tasted just like roast ~ trust me, I tasted it again and again ALL night long, even the next morning... Needless to say, for a night out and nice expensive meal, I would definitely find another location! But the view was great!!

Place is awesome, some nights there was like a band playing inside, classical 20s music and p eople dancing, that was pretty cool. Outside bar is awesome, they have water lines that spray mist infont of fans which helps on the humid days. you can take your drink right onto the beach, there is a small ramp from the bar to the beach you are right there in seconds. Food is great, Fish tacos are awesome, sweet potato fries are great, coconut shrimp is good, and the chicken parm has excellent sauce. Pricing is about right for a place like this on the island. Ive been to more expensive places in the area and not as good. the three shrimp taccos were like 12$ i believe with sweet potato fries with cod fish. chicken parm was like 15. Ill post some pictures later on this week. Pretty laid back environment. bathroom was clean and decent size. waitress are really nice friendly, service is acttually pretty good here. They do have drink specials, like 2.50 miller lite etc. The pina colada is awesome with 151 on top. the outside bar area usualy has a really good band playing some good music good singer as well. and people are dancing. Quite a few good looking woman working there as well as coming there to drink and eat. mostly and older crowd. Overall food was great. came out on time. beautiful view of the ocean outside. Oh yea crab cake sandwich is good too. deff enjoyed this place. Will continue to eat there. Fucking awesome. probly missing a few things, thats just most of what I can remember, I was probly d runk most of my visits there.

Pricey, but delicious! The back patio offers quick beach access. Not much better than enjoying a beer while gazing off into the ocean. Food is excellent.

This was my second time at this restaurant. The first time wowed me so I encouraged my family to join me this go round. We wanted to reservation by the water. Because of this we called since 10am the same day. We were told to call back several times since they only guarantee this for large parties (we had 11). After being told we would get this we we were good, until we got there. Despite calling ahead several times, the young lady at the front said we were inside. We advised that we called and were assured and outdoor seat. She had to go speak to someone who then came back and immediately said we can go back, it was ready. We were seated right next to a loud speaker in which there was trivia going on, we had no clue it was trivia night. Food took a while to come out but my "catch of the day- grouper" was exceptional. Highly recommended. The rest of family enjoyed their dinners with the exception of one who said the grouper he got was not well prepared. Our waitress was very good. Took very good care of us. Understanding of the kids needs and placing orders quickly. She even went down to the beach with us and took a group picture. Overall- service was good and food was good but it wasn't a "wow" experience like the first time.

Super casual laid back restaurant. They also have live bands. Eating on the patio is the best. The crashing waves and ocean breeze are just fantastic. The inside seating isn't terrible, but it's not like sitting outside. You can order and walk out on the beach a bit if you'd like... there's a staircase that leads right out onto the beach from the patio. The menu is ginormous. There's something for everyone. Pastas. Seafood. Burgers. Tacos. Nachos. Conch fritters. So much good food. 3 3/4

This is my second visit to Shuckers and I have yet to be disappointed. The seafood is fresh and prepared w no frills or fancy froo froo stuff. That was exactly what I wanted...straightforward swafood! Portions are great and they don't skimp on the quality. The service is super friendly and helpful with the menu. The atmosphere is laid back and definitely not stuffy like some seafood places I've visited. While we were enjoying our time on the beach, stopped in to the outdoor bar for some mixed drinks. The bartender worked so quickly to whip the drinks up and get us back out to the sun...just what we wanted! After our beach time we decided to order food. I wasn't feeling too hungry so I ordered the clam chowder and a side of fries. The chowder was chunky and loaded with the good stuff! Win! Fries were super crunchy! Win! I'll definitely be back again.

A rainy day at the beach but the crab cake sandwich along with Mrs Peters infamous fish dip made the meal worth it. The wait staff was a little slow but otherwise it's still worth a trip for a Sunday Brunch with friends Ronn just Ronn the hole in the wall food guy.

This place was great! The food was good, the service was both prompt and friendly, the prices were reasonable, the drinks we're not watered down, the musicians we're fantastic and appropriate for the whole family. In fact, there were grandparents and grandkids swaying to.the music having a blast. You can't go wrong here. Oh-cute gift shop too!

I have been to Shuckers about once a year for the past twenty years and always loved it. My most recent visit, however, was just okay. The grouper Rueben was deep fried and so dry it was practically inedible. The bread was not fresh and the fries were served cold. I did not want to complain because we were with a large group. Unfortunately I doubt we will spend the money to return here. However some of the other dishes such as the pasta received rave reviews from some of our guests. Just avoid the fried foods.

Just finished our meal. I had Clam Chowder and Conch Fritters. Ray had fish and chips. We also had a pitcher of Shocktop beer. The food was delish. Our waitress Erica was very attentive. I had read other negative reviews and was a little iffy about stopping here. I am glad we tried it. We had a positive experience. Cant believe everything you read!!

  • Melissa K.

Our waiter Jerry was incredible!! Attentive, nice, polite, great recommendations off the menu! Small tiny glitch with the sweet potato fries, which he immediately corrected. Happy hour specials were fantastic! We shared appetizers and had calamari, onion rings, stuffed mushrooms and shrimp cocktail. All very fresh and divine! The outdoor atmosphere was amazing with an impressive view. Highly recommended! The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the fries but if I could give a 4.9 I would!

Fish Tacos are fantastic!! Eat on the porch and ask for Jerry' s section The best Corn chicken chowder was also delish

This place just kinda shucks. I was staying nearby for work and this place was too convenient to pass up. Shoulda drove the extra couple of miles back into town for a better joint. I was in the mood for some clams, so I ordered a dozen raw as an app, then clams with linguini as the main. For a place called "Shuckers" you'd think they'd rock the raw bar. The clams came out, were not necessarily chilled, but that wasn't the problem. The clams were on a bed of regular ice cubes, not crushed ice. The reason this is an issue is because with crushed ice, you can place the shucked clams on this bed of ice and they settle in nicely level, holding the clams juices in place. Instead, this place just uses regular old cubes, which are like rocks, so when you place the clams on them, they tilt to a side and lose all their juices. Additionally, when you're called "Shuckers," maybe you want to train your kitchen staff how to actually shuck the clams. Of the 12, I had to finish the shucking job on at least 10 of them. The linguini was average. Not bad, just not memorable. What was memorable were the 3 furiously drunk guys at the bar who were acting like your classic drunk frat guys, except they were in their sixties if they were a day. These guys were so annoying. I'd say that maybe this was a one-off situation, but the wait staff seemed to be all-too familiar with them. Guess they're regulars. Couldn't wait to leave.

Do no to go for any reason, poor service, below average food at high prices...if you're thinking about eating here, heat up a frozen dinner walk to the beach eat your frozen dinner and throw $60 in the ocean and it'll be just like you are there...

Shuckers is fabulous located right on the ocean with views of the water and the ocean breeze! We spent a Sunday afternoon with good friends sitting outside on the patio enjoying live music. Well worth the wait for an outside table we spent the time walking on the beach. The peel-n- eat shrimp was delicious also the pizza margherita got raves. Danielle was a fantastic server very attentive. The place was busy, lively with lots of folks having a good time. We always have a wonderful time at Shuckers and will be back soon! You just cannot beat the location!!!!

Had two great meals here! The staff was amazing. Being able to look at the ocean made the experience wonderful. The only negative would be cleanliness. I watched the staff handle a bad situation that happened with a customer and they handled it perfectly. Thank you all for a great time.

If they had Heinz ketchup would get a 5. Shouldn't every restaurant carry Heinz not Hunt's, or both? Food is good, ambiance and outdoor atmosphere is great, prices are fair. Overall pretty good experience minus the lack of Heinz. Oh well, life goes on.

The food was okay people were friendly that were customers Ordered tomato mozzarella panini garlic white truffle fries and Cuban. Our bartender was horrible my first horrible review! I prefer a margarita when we sat down. We got our meal and had finished my drink. Never came back to see if it was good or if we wanted another drink!! It was t even packed at the bar!! Couldn't wait leave so I could go get a drink! Gave her 15% which is low for us and left to go to another place to hang out!!! Where we will way over tip. Garlic white truffle fries you need liquid!' Water something!!' I was watching the other bartender and I was so jealous! When the other bartender brought our food she wondered why I had two orders of fires the one with the sandwich and the garlic white truffle I said I wanted to try the garlic white truffle and the Bartender told me o couldn't substitute which was fine I didn't ask she said I could have fries or cole slaw. My husband hates Mayo. So I didn't get the cole slaw so he didn't smell - she said oh you cold if had veggies or onion rings for a dollar more ! I didn't know our bartender didn't give us this option! Oh well plenty of places to eat! We eat out every day we are here, will never go here. Wouldn't. Want to get this bartender again!!! She could care less!!

For some reason I just wasn't wowed by this place. Sure the location is great, but our sever was a bit slow and surly, the bar band was kind of cheesy, and the food was "meh." I got a burger; asked for it medium-rare and it came well done. It wasn't bad -- just "meh" as I said before. Mango daquiri was average; I've had much better elsewhere. Prices were average-to-high. All around uninspired. Maybe I was just there on an bad day, but I'm not sure I'd have a reason to go back.

We visited Shuckers on a Tuesday evening at 5:45PM. Worst service I have had in a very long time! We were quoted 25 minutes and weren't seated for 40. I don't mind waiting, but when I inquired at the hostess desk after 25 minutes as to how much longer the wait would be, they said they didn't know. They told me there were 2 parties ahead of us to be seated and I observed 4 parties that were sat before us. When we finally got to our table, we sat there for 13 minutes before the waitress even came by to get our drink order. The next time we saw her was when we were done eating and we asked for our check. I had asked to see a manager when we were seated and the manager did ever come to talk with us. Very disappointing experience!!

  • Roy P.

For lack of much to do if you are under 40 in this area, this place is decent. Nice sized bar outdoor, ample seating all around, and spots in the sun to sit at if that is your thing. There is live music, a boatload of locals, and great little bites to get if you happen to become hungry throughout your day-drinking adventures. Other than that, not much to see in terms of hot looking people..

First time at shuckers although I've been coming to Nettle's island for years. Perfectly family friendly. We ate in the dining room with our six children ages 0-14. The waitress was awesome and treated our kids like her own. The good was quick, delicious and reasonably priced. Atmosphere quiet on Sunday evening. Seemed like a good idea to avoid the deck in the evening...other people were moving inside due to bugs. Would definitely go back. Try the grouper sandwich!

  • Tyler P.

It is a pretty good place for dinner. Their biggest downfall was.....Hunts ketchup!! I mean, really? That's ketchup is gross! Their fries aren't the good fries either, but I wouldn't recommend going there for fries anyways. They have a great selection, ranging from seafood, surf and turf, Italian, and other nice options. The service was great!

We sat outside because inside was too loud with the live music. The view is spectacular and the server Casey was very attentive and personable. We chowder was good and I really enjoyed the fish tacos. We will definitely go again but maybe not on a Friday night.

I was referred here by a server Brad from Duffys sports bar in Stuart Florida I absolutely love it here. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait it ended up being about 15 to be seated. our server was James he's THE BEST! our appetizer was served with in 5 minutes of ordering it, it was fantastic we had the ahi tuna. For dinner I had the ahi burger minus the bun it was fantastic as well and my dad had the grilled grouper the catch of the day. Both meals were exemplary I would recommend this resturant to everyone! Out door seating with ocean view...it can't get any better!

  • Danielle A.

The food was so good we ate it twice when we were in town for a wedding. The services was great and we loved sitting outside right off the beach.

    (5)
  • Priya M.

Absolutely love this restaurant! Literally right on the beach, the outside seating has an area with fans and tables right along the wooden rail which overlooks the beach. Servers are friendly and very attentive. We actually took my dad here for Father's Day. He order the ahi burger and loved it. Now, my dad is hard to please, so if he cleans his plate or goes back for seconds it is a guaranteed hit! My mom and husband both ordered the crab cake sandwich and also thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband ordered fries as a side, which I wish I did here because their fries are delish! I ended up getting the blackened mahi sandwich with a side salad. The mahi was cooked and seasoned perfectly. There were no leftovers to take home! Love their frozen piña colada and daiquiris too! We will definitely be coming back!

  • Lenore S.

Delicious food, great family atmosphere! Busy night, so service was a little slow and they forgot to bring out a salad. Waiter was very friendly and apologetic. Overall a great experience! We would definitely go here again.

  • Susan F.

If you read nothing else, read the last paragraph. We had heard good things about this place but our experience was not good. When we first got there we were told the wait would be 25 minutes. Not bad for a Monday night at 7 on the island. As we walked back to the outside bar we passed several vacant tables. Outside there were several vacant tables as well. We chalked it up to staffing issues. It took 30-40 minutes to get our entrees and they came out 5-10 minutes apart so some folks were done before others started. The clam chowder was good. The conch chowder tasted as thought it came from a can. The seared tuna was good. The calamari was ok. Too much breading. Sadly it was not a good experience and tomorrow night we will go in to Jensen Beach or Stuart for some good food. To top it all off, my husband was pick pocketed by the outdoor bar. Sigh.

    (1)
  • Brian B.

Sub-average atmosphere inside. Outside ocean view great. No reservations a big minus, so expect wait times. Vegetarian options limited. I tried the Penne Primavera and stuffed mushrooms which both get a solid B. Also tried a pinacolada, which was subpar in my view. good service... Overall, YMMV.

    (3)
  • Melissa D.

View was great. Service and food could use some improvement. One person in our group ordered a Grouper Rueben but didn't care for it. He only took one bite, but didn't want to be a bother and send it back. The server didn't inquire, at all. She just collected the plates, confirmed we didn't want a box, tossed the sandwich and gave us the check. I suggested this place for family from out of town and was embarrassed at the quality of food, cleanliness and service.

I continue my endorsement of Shuckers, my wife and I enjoy it every time we are in town, which is 8-10 times a year. Had the grouper oscar and it was delicious. Never had a bad meal, always friendly and fun!

  • Vonnie P.

Great little tropical place on the beach. The drinks are delicious and prices aren't that bad either. I had the Grouper Oscar for dinner; soooo delicious! The service tends to be slow but who cares when you're enjoying the ocean views! :)

  • Jeffrey A.

This place was recommended by a friend, but I found it to be barely average. The menu reminded me of a chain restaurant, the atmosphere was average as was the waitstaff. To be fair, I went in the offseason, perhaps it's better in January.

Great spot for drinks and food. We went on a Sunday afternoon, live music, great crowd. Staff handled the busy crowd very well. Friends servers, bar is set right in the beach. Lots of fun.

Omg so good and what an amazing view from outside looking at the beach. Huge outdoor patio and the restaurant/lounge with bar is very big. Service was really good, waitress Jessica was really friendly and helpful picking out menu items. Started with a drink and then had the grilled mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries and my hubby had the crunchy grouper with regular french fries. Went back at night, had so much fun at their dance party music and drinks were great.

    (5)
  • Marlies D.

Excellent food. I had the mahi mahi sandwich which was delicious. Wait staff was very friendly considering they were deep in the weeds. Management needs to know how to handle crowds...a 15 minute wait turned into a 40 minute wait.

    (4)
  • William R.

I came here on a slightly stormy afternoon wanting to see some ocean. That's about as good as it gets. The drinks are just OK and pricey, nice pour on straight drinks, but the frozen mixed daiquiris were too much daiquiri mix and not enough of the fun stuff. Caesar salad was warm and limp with too much dressing and the service curt. Blackened shrimp were tasty and cooked perfect, but they had a high hill to climb to overcome the misses. Next time I want to see some waves and eat I will bring a picnic in a cooler to the miles and miles of free coastline on Hutchinson Island.

  • Dawn O.

I really liked this restaurant, ate here two times for dinner and once for a wedding reception on the same weekend. The first night we had oysters on the half shell perfectly plump and tasted of the sea. Both the hubby and I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich which was filling and tasted freshly plucked from the ocean. The second night I had the Seafood special which was mussels, Shrimp & Calamari in a tomato based sauce with linguine. This was just egh, mussels were overcooked and shrimp was hardly visible. My hubby had the oysters again and they were just as tasty as the night before. They are located right on the beach so you can take your drinks outside or even dine outside while enjoying the view. The wait staff was awesome and we had fun bantering back and forth with them. Our friends small wedding party had a blast and the food was awesome for buffet. Everything was fresh and bountiful.

"Disappointing" This restaurant came highly recommended to us. We wanted to take family members out as a thank you gesture. Both my husband and nephew ordered steaks that was severely over cooked (black hard and difficult to cut). Their drinks were fine but all in all we decided not to return in the future. For a beach side restaurant it was surprising that no lobster is on the menu-truly a disappointment to us. High over priced meals. Visited July 2013

Awesome place and amazing food. Always a crowd but worth the wait. Fish tacos are outstanding along with the Clam chowder. Ask for Jerry; always great service and great with kids. The will be a regular place for us!

When we're in the Jensen Beach area, we always end up at Shuckers for lunch. You'll find us on the large covered patio area, with a table overlooking the beautiful beach view. Food runs the gamut from typical fried offerings to a seared tuna "burger". Not outstanding, but it's good and the view makes up for it. Their iced tea is fresh brewed and refills are always on hand! On occasion there's been live music, and that only adds to the laid back ambiance.

Great view, right on the water. Service was good. Food was great (Cobb salad & fish tacos) is what we had. Love that they carry the Island Oasis piña colada which in my opinion is the best piña colada ever!!!

I think may be this would be a better place for getting just a sandwich for lunch! The atmosphere is fun and the view beautiful but the food is mediocre at best and the service was terrible. We complained and The manager did not seem to take our constructive criticism. I will go back for a beer only next time

We visited Shuckers about 5 PM on Super Bowl Sunday and were surprised to be seated immediately on their immense largely roofed patio. All that lay between us and the ocean were a knee wall, a dune, and a beach. We were at one end of the patio. At the other end was a live band and heavily utilized dance floor. To say that the mood was festive would be an understatement. People love this place. We started with conch fritters accompanied by a Shock Top and, for lack of any IPAs, a Sam Adams Cold Snap. I think that it is fair to say that , as with many other beach haunts, Shuckers is pretty much a Bud Light Corona kind of place. The conch fritters were good. They were neither greasy nor dry, not overcooked or doughy, and contained detectable amounts of conch. The accompanying remoulade had a pleasant smoky taste. We split a fried oyster platter. The coleslaw and fries were serviceable if not stellar, and the oysters were done up by someone who knew his way around a fryolator. The menu was huge, and I've scarcely done it justice. The ocean was, well, the ocean, and you can't do better than that. But I doubt that we'll ever return to Shuckers. Maybe it was the young woman who chose a spot right beside us to empty her sundry baby apparatus over the wall repeatedly, the only thing surer than her saying "I'm sorry" being the certainty that she would be back again shortly. Maybe it was the fat guys with their stomachs hanging out and their hands waving over their heads as they shimmied to the dance floor. Maybe it was the chain smokers who clustered around our table. Maybe it was that the muscle shirts vastly outnumbered the muscles. Maybe it was people conversing in shouts. Maybe it was the sight of the hustling staff failing in their Sisyphean task of clearing the layers of trash inadvertently - or advertently - deposited by people making elbow room on their tables. Maybe it was the piercings and bad tattoos. Maybe it was that so many people seemed to regard the place as their living room. Maybe hell really is other people.

I have to say our experience at shuckers was less than optimal.. Granted we went on Mother's Day and were unaware it was buffet only. That alone was a great disappointment but it was also highly overpriced ($26 a person) and unimpressive! Very mediocre -the stuffed shells were not bad for what it is... Also an 18% gratuity was added (to our party of only 2) and the waitress literally didn't do anything for us! I think part was our fault for going on a holiday.

Great food but best of was the really friendly and helpful staff especially Jerry. My kids and I had lunch at Shuckers and due to us not having a vehicle we had to walk a mile in the heat to get there. Jerry was so concerned and caring that he asked his boss to allow him to take us back to where we were staying. Thank you Jerry and the Shuckers staff you are the best. Your kindness is out if this world.

We were looking for somewhere on the beach to sit and enjoy a Saturday afternoon. This wasn't the place to go. For starters, as you walk down the hallway to the hostess desk, you are greeted with a long row of windows showing samples of the extremely cheesy and cheep costume jewelry offered for sale in the gift store. That should have been our invitation to run like the wind. We were seated outside and eventually a waitress came to our table. She was anything but friendly. We ordered a burger and a BLT. Don't waste your money on either! The burger had no flavor and was full of hard chunky things that I preferred not to swallow. The BLT was below average, a sandwich at any dive in town would have been considerably better. We ordered a glass of red wine, which was so disgusting it was sent back. The replacement wasn't much better, both of them tasted like something that would be served at a college frat party. The sweet tea was weak and not particularly sweet. I cannot think of any reason to ever be lured back to this restaurant.

Great food, location and prices. Can't go wrong here, if you are looking for a casual place to eat. I had lobster and crab raviolis and raw oysters both were delicious. Husband had fish tacos and said they were good. Would go back in a heartbeat if ever back in Florida.

On the sandbar all day. Lets go to Shuckers for a drink. So the 11 of us meet after docking our boats.30 minute wait for a table. So what. Grab a drink, and sit by the beach with the most awesome views. You are litteraly right on the beach.Decided to have dinner as it was getting late. Great food, drinks, service and price. When 11 people can't say one bad thing about a restaurant, that speaks for itself. This place deserves 5 stars all day long. Can't wait to go back!!

So I've been going to Shuckers as long as I can remember. My grandfather was a staple at this establishment for many years. We even had a tile decorated on the ceiling when they were being sold to patrons, if that tells you how long I've been coming here. Since the hurricanes destroyed this area, Shuckers has been remodeled into more of an "upscale" beach bar. The music is a little too loud on the patio outside. There's nothing special about the food or the drinks. The only reason I continue to frequent this place when I'm in town is the nostalgia of spending so much time with my grandparents here and the great location (right on the beach). Last time I was here, they let us take the bucket of booze out to the beach. Or maybe we snuck it out. Either way, at least that was a win! If you're not looking for an amazing meal, I would consider Shuckers an adequate place to grab lunch and a drink on the beach.

This place is on the sand overlooking the turquoise Atlantic with an awesome view. The clam chowder is some of the best I've ever had and the grouper sandwich was really good. Unfortunately the service was very lazy but overall it was a great experience.

Excellent Garlic Truffle Fries! Love this place. This is my second time back and would definitely come back again. Food is very good and the outside dining offers a spectacular view of the ocean.

My wife and I love it here! Friendly staff, beautiful outdoor atmosphere, great crab cakes, portabella, and mahi! Beer had a bad experience here ;)

Fantastic Fish tacos, crabcakes, and grilled Mahi sandwich- not all in one meal! The best ocean-side seating in town for a great meal! Fun outdoor bar too!

This restaurant is so generic, I don't even think I can write an inspired uninspired review. Drinks weren't mixed well, fish was unremarkable, and I'm pretty sure the horrible band was actually lip-syncing. My Dad leaned over one song in and said "'Brown-Eyed Girl' WILL BE one of the next three songs." He was right.

The food is meh. Not awful but not amazing. I wouldnt say people go for the food but I think the view of the ocean which is just steps from the patio makes up for it. Cocktails are good! I'll be back.

A fabulous location and breathtaking oceanfront deck combined with great food, this is a 5! Visited twice in one week and both times food was excellent. Fried clams, grouper sandwich, chowda, sweet cole slaw.....really really good!

I have been a fan of this establishment for years....until tonight! We chose Shucker's for dinner to enjoy the beautiful ocean view and the live music. What we received was an entire evening of being forced to endure endless chain smoking from most of the patrons sitting at the bar and at surrounding tables. When we voiced our complaint to an associate we were informed that smoking is allowed ANYWHERE outside and that the only non-smoking area was inside (patrons dining inside were also coming outside to stand by the bar as well as our dining table to smoke-thank you for sharing!). It was the WORST dining experience I have ever endured and not that Shucker's management cares, but I will NOT be returning. There are many other finer establishments on the island that offer the same beautiful view and actually believe in the crazy concept of creating an enjoyable experience for ALL their customers. PLEASE don't waste your hard earned $$ at this place.....

Food is decent and drinks are cheap. Other than that pretty average beach bar. I would come here if you are looking to release some stress after work, throw a few back, and not have to wait too long for your meal. The grouper reuben and fish tacos are great for bar food.

Service was professional, attentive, very good. Food is what you'd expect from a restaurant attached to a hotel. Adjust your expectations and everything will be fine.

Schuckers is BACK!! Thank God!! Shuckers is back, and better than ever! You can't argue with the view or the location, how can you not enjoy dining with the sound of the ocean as your background music? The French Onion soup is fabulous, as are the Buffalo Shrimp to start or as your meal. Hubby LOVES the grouper reuben, kids were more than happy with the kids menu. Breakfast was great as well, I was only disappointed that it was Easter weekend while we were staying at Island Beach Resort, so we could only do breakfast on Saturday this trip! Eggs Benny were wonderful, omellettes were enjoyed by hubby and big kid, little kid loved his M&M pancake! Come for the view, stay for the food!

Was looking around Jensen Beach for some less-expensive seafood, and decided to try Shuckers, as the other previous reviews were positive. I was overall not thoroughly impressed. I went with my parents, and I was the youngest person there by around 25 years. Definitely a place the older crowd hangs out, though I didn't mind it too much (kind of used to it). The location is fantastic, right on the water, with great views. The bar was full the entire time we were there. The service was friendly, but a bit on the slow side. I think they might have had an event at the restaurant that night, it seemed the waitress was busy getting tables ready on the other side of the restaurant. However, food came out quickly, and anything requested was also brought very quickly. On to the food. We shared the fried calamari appetizer, and the seared ahi tuna appetizer first. I love seared tuna, and was not disappointed. It tasted fresh and fantastic, and even came with wasabi (totally wasn't expecting that), and a large mixed green salad with sesame ginger dressing. I actually wish I had just gotten this as my meal, but I didn't. The calamari was good, nothing special, but well cooked. For entrees, we ended up with the fish and chips, fried scallops, and clam fingers. The fish and chips was...unremarkable really. The fish in one of the pieces was overly dry, but the flavor was ok. The fries were rather tasty, but again not fantastic. The slaw tasted ok as well. The clam fingers were pretty tasty, if a little greasy. The fried scallops were mushy at best and flavorless really. The "breading" on the outside was hopelessly damp, and they were a tad rubbery. We didn't get any drinks, but I think if I were to go back, i'd like to sit outside on the deck and have a couple of drinks, some more tuna, and maybe try their creme brulee. But, I don't know if i'd really go back or not. Time will tell!

First time visitor to jensen beach, lovely little beach town. We were told to come here to eat for a inexpensive dinner right on the beach with a tiki bar. Very nice staff from the greeter to our wonderful waitress. Nice area indoors with large windows that lead to the outdoor deck/ tiki area which had a band going this afternoon. Really fun, more casual setting, lots of people were with coverup's as you can walk right from the beach. I started with a nice piña colada, it was ok but could've had a bit more rum & creaminess. A bit too icy for my taste. Loved the portabello appetizer, it was delicious. My hubby had a burger & it was so so... The sweet potato fries were kind of cold & didn't look too fresh. I told him that he should have seafood, but he is very stubborn!!! My bruschetta salad was nice but had the same veggies & balsamic dressing as the portabello appetizer therefore it was a bit of an overkill eating almost the same thing twice, but this time cold with a lovely french bread. Lots of folks in their mid 60's+, but also some families & younger couples/singles enjoying the best thing this restaurant has to offer... The beautiful view of the beach. This restaurant got an extra star for location, location, location.....

We walked down the beach and came here for a couple of beers. The bar tender was super friendly and its nice being able to sit right so close to the beach(basically on it). Prices weren't too bad for beers, and it was a gorgeous view :o)

Let me start by saying I arrived at Shuckers in a wonderful mood and excited to try a new restaurant. Upon arrival my fiancé and I were informed that the wait for a table of two would be 20-25 minutes, but we were free to grab a drink at the bar while we waited. We went to the back deck bar and found every bar seat occupied while at least a quarter of the ocean side tables were empty. I went to the hostess table and asked if we could be seated at one of the many open tables, only to be told we couldn't be seated because the kitchen was backed up. I offered that we would order a couple drinks while we waited for the kitchen to catch up. That suggestion received a response that others were ahead of us on the waiting list and needed to be seated first so we still couldn't be seated. At that time, half of the inside tables were open as well. Long story short, by the time we were finally seated, the server was inattentive and slow, the food was bland and cold, and for two $20 plates of food I expected a much better dining experience. I created this Yelp account because Shuckers was so horrible and we will never return. I would recommend anyone else avoid this place as well.

Not bad, better than expected. Food was actually pretty decent (fish tacos/shrimp salad/kids meal) service was good and prices reasonable. View is incredible also.

Good conch chowder and fresh onion soup, interesting salad choices. Didn't eat outside because they allow smoking and would rather not mix food and smoke.

The inside part of this restaurant is pretty unappealing, looks like a Denny's (don't be fooled by the website). The hostess was a little flaky, but I appreciated that she asked us if we wanted to be close to or far away from the band. We waited close to two hours on a Sunday at 3 pm for a table outside for four, but were able to wait on the beach, so that was good. It was very loud. They allow smoking on the covered patio, so that was a little irritating. All of that being said, the fish tacos were EXCELLENT, as were the french fries. So you just have to take the not so great with the great I guess.

One of our favorite places to eat. The food is delicious. Great service and it's nice even for families with small childrens. We been there several times. Sometimes they have live music. Staff is friendly and answer all my menu questions.

Went for dinner with 6 people on tues night. Got in no problem, no reservations. Sat outside was nice and relaxed. Big complaint is anybody sitting next to you can smoke, we had couple chain smoking! Server Jason was quick, efficient and friendly. Had clam and conch chowders, both were very good! Orders were seafood pasta,2 star, way overpriced, seafood ravioli, was large portion, but flavor was lost to tomato sauce, and coconut almond grouper with chutney. Was light and cooked right, but chutney overpowered the fish. One fillet for 16.95 w steamed veggies and rice? Prices to portion seemed about 2-4 dollars over for most entrees. Had way better at mulligans in town even for lunch. Not worth the drive to the beach.
